It’s time for the Birmingham-based companies to get busy and nominate each other for the upcoming state-wide AITA awards. Deadline is September 30, 2007. Descriptions of the awards available for nomination are shown below. Full criteria is posted on the AITA website. The event will be held in Huntsville this year on Thursday, October 25th.
2007 Technology Company of the Year
Two awards will be given in this category – one each for: Small company category – less than 15 million in revenue; and, Large company category – greater than 15 million in revenue
The two winners will have demonstrated both product and company financial strength and overall success. Mandatory criteria for nominating in this category are: Nominated Company must be headquartered within the state of Alabama; and, Company must be proven to be a successful, growing business within the state.
2007 Technology Entrepreneur of the Year
An entrepreneur whose creativity and success has spanned several years and almost surely more than one successful venture.
2007 Executive Leadership in Technology
Likely a Chief Information Officer or possibly another senior executive who has driven a culture of applying advanced technologies to solve operational problems. While this could be within a company in a technology industry, the spirit of this award is in creatively solving business problems through the use of advanced technologies and the investment in a culture of automation.
